Privacy Policy
Short version: the only personal information this site asks for is your email, if you choose to join the free newsletter. No advertising cookies, and nothing about you is sold.
What this site collects
- Email newsletter (optional). If you sign up for the free KCC Desk newsletter, your email address is collected and stored by beehiiv, the newsletter service. It's used only to send you the newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and I never sell or share your address. The sign-up form is loaded from beehiiv, which may record basic details such as the page you signed up from.
- Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
- Visitor statistics. The site may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits and popular pages in aggregate without cookies and without building a profile of you.
- Fonts. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests them.
Messages
If you message me on Instagram or LinkedIn, that conversation happens on their platform and is covered by their privacy policies. I only use what you send to reply to you, and I don't share it.
Other sites
Links to Blossom, brokers and social networks take you to services with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask what personal information I hold about you and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. In practice, that means your newsletter email, if you signed up, and the messages you choose to send.
Changes
If this policy changes, for example when a paid tier is added, this page will be updated and the date above will change.
